Our team

The Flow team brings a passion for change and impact in the human rights space.

we believe in, and practise radical generosity because ‘if we don’t change, then nothing changes’ and so an adventurous sense of the radical is required to make systemic improvements within communities.

Flow is not a collection of well-meaning dreamers. Each of the team is a consummate professional in their area of expertise, connected both locally in the Waikato and also internationally. They bring their collective skills to bear on a selection of projects.

This quality was recognised by Inland Revenue as they recommended to the New Zealand Parliament that Flow be given Overseas Donnee status. This means that we are able to provide tax refund certificates for funds that we send offshore.

Flow’s vision is to provide start-up funding, guidance and support to those who have a radical vision for their community, enabling them to change their world until they are able to stand independently from Flow.

Tearfund

Tearfund NZ is a faith-based aid and development organization. We believe the heinous trade of vulnerable people is a gross injustice that must be confronted. We take a comprehensive approach in dealing with human trafficking through prevention, prosecution and rescue, and rehabilitation. Our key distinction and strength is our partnership model. We identify local organizations who are experts in their field of development and partner with them to empower the work they do.

That’s why we partner with inspirational organisations like LIFT International who are actively and powerfully creating a world where trafficking is no longer tolerated. We see ourselves as LIFT’s key programme advisers, advocates and fundraisers in New Zealand, acting as catalyst for their mission.

Lift International

Right now, more people are being exploited than ever before in history. LIFT International was founded to tackle the root cause of human trafficking by increasing prevention through the prosecution of offenders. We are lawyers, criminal investigators and social workers all united by our desire to be strategic and focused on seeing freedom for survivors of exploitation through the criminal justice system.

LIFT has identified a significant gap in the anti-trafficking sector of a mechanism for identifying, sharing and acting upon existing information about trafficking and child sexual exploitation within local communities. Tearfund and LIFT have partnered with the Flow Foundation to create an intelligence piece that will rapidly increase the number of exploitation cases brought to justice.

We invite you join us on a journey of partnership, education and opportunities as we pioneer this game-changing tool.
